Designed for students entering 4th - 7th grade, participants will depart from Planet Earth and explore the galaxy. Each day includes engaging instruction as we study space through hands-on activities and exciting experiments. Activities including launching model rockets with astronomers from Pearl Observatory, building a take-home telescope with optical engineers from Edmund Optics, and painting galaxy bowls with Fahrenheit Ceramics. Snacks and drinks are provided. Participants receive a t-shirt and take-home STEAM activity kit.
July 16 - 19, 2018: Oceanography ages 8 - 13 (approximate) 9am - 1pm (drop off at 8:50; pack lunch) Sewell School 40 McAnally Drive Sewell, NJ
Designed for students entering 4th - 7th grade, this program focuses on ocean life, currents, and all things related to the phenomena of the sea. Each day includes engaging instruction as we study the sea through hands-on activities and exciting experiments. Activities include connecting optics to oceanography with optical engineers from Edmund Optics, building model submarines, and a squid dissection led by aquatic scientists from the Center for Aquatic Sciences at Adventure Aquarium!! Participants receive a t-shirt and take-home STEAM activity kit.
July 30, Aug. 1, Aug. 6 & Aug. 8: Moana ages 4 - 7 (approximate) *This program runs Monday and Wednesday over two weeks* Morning Session 9:30 - 11:30 -OR- Afternoon Session 12:30 - 2:30 Moozie's Play Cafe 7 Shoppers Lane Turnersville, NJ
Designed for students in preschool and the primary grades, participants will go on adventures as they explore living things, the ocean, and volcanoes. Each day includes a story, science-themed song, activity, and hands-on experiment mixed with free-play time at the awesome Moozie's Play Cafe in Turnersville. Moana-themed snacks and drinks are provided.

Counselor-In-Training (CIT) Opportunities
This volunteer opportunity is for teens, ages 14 - 17 years old, who want to further develop their leadership and communication skills as well as gain valuable experience in planning and instructing activities for children. Each selected CIT will be assigned to assist an instructor or a counselor. We accept 2-4 CIT's per program.

*Acceptance into the program is based on completion of an application and submission of one letter of recommendation (this letter cannot be from a family member). *A minimum commitment of one session is required. For the Sewell School programs, daily hours are 8:15am - 1:15pm. For the Moozie's program, hours are 9:15am-2:45pm. *CIT’S are expected to serve as good role models who encourage and promote positivity. *SELECTED CIT'S WILL BE NOTIFIED BY JUNE 10, 2018.
